Helen is a vibrant, talented artist, whose work is becoming increasingly sought after by collectors and art lovers. Trained in the fine arts in England, Helen later emigrated to Canada, where she now works as a full time artist from her studio in Saint John, New Brunswick. When asked how she felt about her art, Helen said
"I feel that I have always been an artist, from making collages out of split peas and lentils when I was four, to now, were I use painting as my way to express myself. I am addicted to the feeling of creative power that producing art gives me.
I love to experiment with new materials, such as copper and aluminium, I am always on the look out for new inspiration. Seeing how materials act under different circumstances, such as burning or subjected to acidic solutions, is a fascination of mine, something that I find can expose a truly uniquely beautiful piece of art, that is so raw, with no rights or wrongs, no conformity, that to me it is almost spiritual.
My hope is that other people would be inspired by my work, that through finding beauty in different things and places, that we may also find beauty within."
